Our new car

Tegan may be having fun in Hong Kong while I’m stuck at work and at home, but I got to pick up our new car. Actually, it was a whole lot less fun to get it without her, particularly since neither of us had ever had a new car. It really was quite something to go to a dealer and pick up a new car with only 10km on the clock.

FuturaThe car is a Ford Futura 2004, 4.0L, V6, automatic with sequential shift (as someone pointed out to me, it’s a semi-automatic), rear seat cup-holders and lots of room. Extras include a rear spolier (so Tegan can see where the back of the car is), tow bar and an auxiliary audio plug in so I can use my iPod in it. It’s very nice. People keep asking what colour it is, and the answer is ‘luscious’, which is a kind of metallic maroon colour.

It’s lots of fun. We intend to do a lot of driving in it, so there may be many opportunities for you to have a ride in it with us.
