Time magazine in the US has just published their list of the Coolest Inventions of 2003. You can see the list at:

There’s some absolutely fantastic stuff in here. I thought that the invisibility cloak, amphibious roadster and fire logs made from coffee were particularly interesting.

\nApple’s iTunes music store came first. I now use iTunes on both the Mac and Windows, and it’s excellent. Particular features of iTunes that I love are the tight integration with my iPod, and the easy way of sharing\/streaming music in the house. As long as iTunes is open on one computer, any other computer on the network can access the full library of the first through it’s own copy of iTunes. This is handy in our house for playing music on Tegan’s laptop, while the original files are stored on my computer. Unfortunately, we can’t access the actual store yet. To date, you can only purchase music through the store if the billing address of your Credit Card is in the US.<\/p>\n

The Powersuit<\/a> looks like an early version of the similar things seen in the Aliens movie, and even in Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions. It’s interesting to see how sc-fi influences advances in science and technology.<\/p>\n

Anyway, almost all of these things are very cool, and I can imagine at least some of them becoming part of everyday life into the future. And if anyone wants to buy as a set of the speakers<\/a> that they list, I really wouldn’t argue.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
