Tip

Here’s a hint. If you’re flying to a different city (e.g. Adelaide) to see a concert for which you have non-replaceable tickets (e.g. to the Big Day Out) – don’t leave them in your briefcase in Canberra. However, if you do leave them in your briefcase, I recommend realising at least a day before the concert and having lovely next door neighbours with a key to your place who will go and find them and express post them to you.

About Tim

I'm a Christian, a husband, a worker (for the Australian Public Service), interested in photography, books, music, movies, good food and wine, coffee, and many other wonderful things in life. God has blessed me in many ways - with faith, a lovely wife, two children, great friends, Christian fellowship at Crossroads Christian Church and more widely, a caring family, and so many more things as well. All in all, being found in Christ and with all these great things, I can complain about nothing.

  1. A good tip. Another one is this: If you are flying to New Zealand from Canberra (and stopping off in Sydney overnight on the way), then dont forget to bring your passport (you just might need it).

Also, its good to have friends who are willing to drive up from Canberra to Sydney at ridiculous hours (lets saying leaving at Canberra at 4am) who can then drop your passport off to you before your board (thanks Alaine).

So you’re not alone in making travel mistakes! Mine happened in 2006, so the pain has worn off..

    Cheers, Steve Gale
