Who shot first?

Well, it’s apparently official that the DVDs of the original Star Wars trilogy will be coming out this year.

Unfortunately, George Lucas does not want to release the original versions of the trilogy (the ones that those in my generation grew up on) as he considers the Special Editions to be the definitive editions, the movies he always wanted to make. This quote was the most pertient:
“But this is not a democracy. We love our fans, but this is about art and filmmaking. [George] has decided that the sole version he wants available is this one [the 1997 Special Edition].”

Personally, I like this take on it:

Greedo was murdered

The Revolutions have not been televised

…but they are being shown at the cinema.

We just got back from watching Matrix: Revolutions and, well, it was a lot better than I thought it was going to be. Going in, most of the reviews I’d read were pretty damning. They varied from ‘Can’t live up to the original‘, to ‘Marginally better than the second one‘ to ‘Worst of the three’. Anyway, I went in prepared for the worst and was, kind of, pleasantly surprised.
